Using Pink lady apples & puff pastry this rose apple recipe makes a stunning dessert. PREP TIME: 20 mins COOK TIME: 25 mins TOTAL TIME: 45 mins SERVINGS: 6 **INGREDIENTS** * 320 g Ready rolled puff pastry sheet * 6 Medium Apples (I used Pink Lady apples as I love the color) * 3 tbsp Lemon juice * 3 tbsp Strawberry jam * 0.5 tsp Icing sugar (To decorate) **Directions** 1. First preheat your oven to 180°C 350°F. 2. Then core and chop your apples in half from top to bottom. 3. Thinly slice your apples so they look like apple rainbow shapes. 4. Grab yourself a Pyrex bowl, add a little water and a good amount of lemon juice in. 5. Place your sliced apple into the lemon water. 6. Pop the apples into the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the apple slices are warm and flexible. 7. Roll out your puff pastry sheet and cut it into six long strips. 8. Add a thin layer of strawberry jam to each stipe of puff pastry using a pastry brush. 9. Then in a line in the center of your pastries, place the apple slices slightly over lapping each other in a straight line. 10. Fold the pastry over covering the bottom of the line of apple slices. 11. Press the pastry down to seal the slices of apple in place. 12. Then simply roll up the pastry from one end to the other to make your apple rose into a flower. 13. Cut a square of parchment paper out and place your apple rose cupcakes into a muffin tin. 14. Repeat this process until all the rose apples are made. 15. Place tour apple rose tarts into your preheated oven for 25 mins. 16. I decorate my apple roses with sprinkles of powdered sugar for that polished look. 17. Once you’ve baked your tasty rose pastries you can serve hot and fresh out of the oven or serve them later chilled, it’s up to you.
