More information has been revealed about Pizzucci, a new restaurant from an award-winning team behind restaurants in Bristol and Bath.

“Pizzucci was born as an idea for a takeaway pizza joint in 2020 and has been growing and developing ever since,” the Bosco team wrote in an email to their mailing list.

“It has most definitely grown into much, much more than a takeaway and we can’t wait to unleash it later in the year.”

Aiming to open on the Promenade on Gloucester Road in May, the restaurant “takes inspiration from the best pizza restaurants of New York, but this time we are taking the feel of the Big Apple a little further”.

The dough will have a shorter ferment, with 18-inch pizzas available either whole or on the move through a slice hatch recently made popular in Bristol by Pizza Bianchi on the Clifton Triangle.

Bosco’s famous arancini will have a glow-up with Pizzucci having three different varieties.

“But it’s not going to be all pizza and arancini, we are working on our frozen margarita recipe and our soft serve (yes, soft serve!) ice cream recipe,” say the team.

“We are topping all this off with our take on castagnole: filled doughnuts with Nutella cream.”

Bosco have a restaurant on Whiteladies Road in Clifton and Milson Place in Bath. Their restaurant on Regent Street in Clifton Village remains closed.
