Caramel Hot Cross Bun Pudding


  • 370g can Top ‘n’ Fill Caramel
  • 6 Hot Cross Buns
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 300ml pouring cream
  • Icing sugar for decoration; ice cream to serve


  1. Preheat oven to 160C.
  2. Pour caramel into a glass bowl and beat with a whisk to make it smooth and runny.
  3. Cut each of the Hot Cross Buns in half. Spread 2 tblspn of caramel over each of the Hot Cross Bun halves.
  4. Close the Hot Cross Buns back together, making 6 Hot Cross Buns.
  5. Grease a medium baking dish with a little butter and place Hot Cross Buns inside.
  6. Place combine eggs, milk and cream into a large jug and whisk until combined.
  7. Pour into the prepared baking dish, over the Hot Cross Buns.
  8. Cover with aluminium foil and place in the oven for 40 minutes.
  9. Pour over remaining caramel and sprinkle with icing sugar. Serve with ice cream and extra caramel.
