When it comes to comforting winter treats, nothing spells satisfying better than a good old-fashion pudding. This is why we decided to share the recipes of two of our all-time favourite puddings that you can easily whip up in no time at all.

Serves: 4
Ingredients :
For Stewed Apples
• 5 medium-sized apples; peeled & cut into chunks
• 3/4th cup of granulated sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon powder
• 1-inch stick cinnamonall-purpose
• 1/4th tsp nutmeg powder
• 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
For The Crumble Topping
• 1/2 cup all purpose flour
• 1/2 cup rolled oats
• 40 gms cold salted butter; cubed
• 1/4th cup dried cranberries (optional)
For The Toffee Sauce
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 tbsp unsalted butter
• 1/4th cup water
• 3/4th tbsp light corn syrup
• 1/3rd cup of heavy cream
Method
For Stewed Apples
• In a non-stick pan, add all ingredients and combine.
• On a medium flame, stew the apples for 15 mins or till soft.
• Turn on the heat and let it cool
• Transfer the stewed apples to a baking dish.
For The Crumble Topping
• In a large bowl add the butter, rolled oats and the flour.
• Rub the mixture together with your fingers until it resembles coarse bread crumbs.
• Evenly spoon the crumble topping over the stewed apple filling.
• Bake it in a preheated oven at 180°C for twenty mins or until golden brown.
For The Toffee Sauce
• In a deep saucepan combine together sugar, water and corn syrup.
• Heat the mixture on a medium high flame.
• Without stirring, bring it to a boil till the sugar is brown and caramelised.
• Reduce the heat and add the butter and cream to the above mixture.
• Stir continuously till lumps are dissolved.
• Pour the hot toffee sauce over the freshly baked apple crumble. Serve warm with a side of vanilla ice cream (optional).

Classic Bread Pudding
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
• ½ cup raisins
• 4 flax eggs
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 cup castor sugar
• 1 ½ tsp vanilla essence
• 1 loaf bread ( french loaf or milk bread)
• 3 tbsp melted butter
• 2 cup milk
Method
• Cut the bread in cube size pieces and arrange on a baking dish greased with butter.
• Whisk flax eggs with milk and sugar.
• Add cinnamon and vanilla extract to the flax egg, sugar and milk mixture.
• Pour melted butter on the bread cubes.
• Add the milk, sugar and flax egg mixture on top.
• Garnish with raisins and bake for 30 mins at 180 degree.
• Serve warm.
