Easter is the time of year when everyone is given the freedom to eat chocolate to their heart’s content without fear of being judged.

There’s a variety of chocolate for everyone, ranging from rich dark chocolate all the way through to chocolate without milk for those who have dietary requirements.

If the comment section of Marks and Spencer’s latest Instagram post are anything to go off of, it seems like they’ve found an Easter egg that everyone likes.

To make things even better, they’ve posted the recipe too!

The eye-catching Easter egg was in fact the creation of the London-based Lily Vanilli Bakery, which has been around since 2008.

Extraordinarily it was made using a popular Easter egg that we’ve all gifted to one another in the past, the Colin the Caterpillar Easter egg.

The retail caption excited its followers by posting the image of the fabulous golden egg with the caption: “The queen of creative cakes, @lily_vanilli_cake, has used our very own Colin the Caterpillar Easter egg to make these amazing creations! Check out her recipe by clicking the link in our bio and tag us in your Easter bakes.”

Their followers were overwhelmed at the prospect of being able to make the eggs themselves.

One user commented: “This looks yum!”

Another added: “This is EPIC.”
