According to a tweet shared by World Central Kitchen, Meghan Markle baked a special lemon olive oil cake, whose ingredients included lemons that came from Markle’s garden. The tweet read, “In honor of Women’s History Month, WCK worked with Archewell, the non-profit created by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, to provide meals & share a message of appreciation & support in Chicago.” This contribution added to the almost 500,000 meals the organization said it has helped provide in the Chicago area so far.
As per a Today report, the cake was prepared for frontline workers in Chicago. Harry and Meghan also wrote a touching note with their gift. It read, “We hope you enjoy the offering we baked for you — a small token of thanks, from our home to yours.” Fans were touched by the gesture. A Twitter user wrote that they’re certain the cake was delicious and that they’d love to see a recipe from Meghan. So sweet!
